Clear blue skies were the order of the day on the 24th of February over the majestic grounds of St Regis Langkawi. With guests coming from all over the world - the happy couple themselves currently calling Singapore their homebase - the hot yet breezy Saturday was the perfect weather to celebrate the nuptials of Charlotte and Usman.
It was decided that the ceremony would first take place indoors at the ballroom of the resort (everyone collectively sighed, "Ahhhh aircond!" when they stepped in from the heat!).
We went with a touch of minimalism in place of the traditional flower arch, using instead flower pillars on either side of where the couple would stand to exchange their vows. Pretty eustomas and eucalyptus leaves enhanced the all white chairs running down the aisle.
The wedding party moved down to the lawn for the evening dinner. Again, the good weather was on our side and upheld all throughout the night. Incandescent string bulbs hung over the dinner tables, illuminating the guests with just enough light.
Charlotte and Usman's big day is a great example of how less can sometimes be so much more in an already beautiful setting, especially one like St Regis Resort Langkawi.
Here's to wishing the couple an abundance of love for each other and a bottomless well of patience to last through eternity!
