Too much of pink can be dangerous. Pink champagne for example. Pink lipstick. Even Zordon declared as much to Kimberly (Power Ranger fans will get it!).
"Too much pink energy is dangerous!"
So with these ominous warnings, we approached this theme with caution. We did not want to risk this important day by overdoing it, turning a wedding into a teenage girl's dream sweet 16 party.
We picked some pretty pastels to compliment the pink, from the flippy floppies on standby for guests to the flower arrangements. The pink and lilac hydrangeas went beautifully with touches of blues, flanked by soft pink roses and feathery long ferns.
And now, if you're ready, take our hand and let's go on a tour of Elvin and Belinda's gorgeous wedding.
Colourful flippy floppies, white Japanese parasols and bamboo fans for guests to cool down
The pretty arch was flowy like a summer wedding dress itself
Before and at sunset
And after sunset, the guests moved on to L'Orangerie for the wedding dinner.
While waiting for the bride and groom to make their grand entrance, friends and family of the couple could leave little love messages for them and drop it into their "wishing well".
The dinner tables were a mix of round and oblong tables, with the main bridal table being a long one so its diners could easily have a good view of the rest of the guests.
The L'Orangerie banquet team did an excellent job as always, setting the table without disturbing the many candles and floral arrangements.
So what do you think? Did we do it right?
