The story of Su Mei and Blake will make anyone in LDRs hopeful for the future. When you're in love, no length of time is ever enough time to be together. The two love birds went through time living in different cities across the world, meeting up fleetingly. Sacrifices were made, jobs were quit, and stressful arguments were friends they tried to keep at bay. After a few years, Blake decided to end it all by popping the question.
Of course she said yes.
This sweet couple picked the place where they had their first holiday together as the venue to tie the knot: the magical La Pari Pari boutique hotel. We were inspired to blend the decor into the greenery so as not to intrude, but rather as an extension of an already naturally pretty surrounding.
It was no doubt the magic of the resident garden fairies that held up the good weather until the ceremony was done and dinner well under way.
The whole affair was accented by little personal touches such as the hand written welcome board by one of Su Mei's bridesmaids...
...jasmine leaves from the father of the bride's own garden...
...and very chic customized tiles courtesy of a loving aunt.
Came twilight, the ambience turned beautifully romantic for this intimate little wedding party. Seriously, even we sighed at the perfectness of the evening from the way the sunlight hit just right to Su Mei's own impressive DIY makeup. Yes folks, it is possible to still look resplendent when you do your own wedding make up.
We wish only the utmost of love and light to this down to earth and easy going newlyweds. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!
Love is friendship that has caught fire.
It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving.
It is loyalty through good and bad times.
It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.
